Didier Hamon

I joined VIF in 1999 as an ‘ MES workshop’ Consultant. I computerised small-scale outfits and also larger ones, such as Stalaven. After 4 years in the job, I was offered either to stay on as a consultant but to expand my skills base to another operational area, or to work in a completely different field - in sales. I accepted the sales position wholeheartedly. I received proper coaching from a senior sales manager and very soon, under his guidance, I was answering calls for tender and demonstrating software. At my request, VIF also supported me in my business administration Masters, and this is what gave me a more business-oriented vision. Today, I am a business development manager, but it is still up to me to keep in regular contact with customers after contracts have been signed! I am still supported by all the VIF teams, as the VIF package is constantly upgraded with new capabilities based on field feedback.
